Driving Force of the Renaissance

"Church controls all, sees all, knows all and leads all."

Rembrandt calls the piece that I choose “The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp” This painting was oil on canvas and was made during the Renaissance. During the Renaissance art was very important, and so was the style of the art. In this painting the artist focused on the realism of the art. This painting shows that people in the Renaissance were discovering things about how their own bodies worked and what was inside of the human body. You can tell that they are intrigued on the genius of the human body, because all the spectators are watching inventively. I think that during that period of time this was completely mind blowing, so this was new and important, and also most people wanted to know these facts, and now they would have known. The renaissance was a time of asking questions and finding answers, and this painting shows exactly that.
